Time Warner Cable Phone Hook-up
summer ends. In Naples, it has rarely been so bright. Light, perhaps because of all the media spotlight trained on her for months, has been and still is a transparent unreal. One was outside time, far from everything, blessed, without tourists and no jellyfish. With the city just for us. A very perverse form of luxury. The image of Naples is now sacked, this goal is reached and the economy, we say "legal" is devastated. For the rest, that is to say what is not, everything is fine. And everything will be even better. In fall time and struggle, as previous exposure, the finding to date is that the besieged city will not fight, not try to return the media to defend himself, allowing himself to be, doing almost nothing to catch up. This fall there, which may be forgotten once the lights have dimmed, like a damnation, condemnation, this time in Europe, remain off-the-law and continue to do the dirty work so that we can also sleep in peace. can also consider it a form of avant-garde and in that sense Naples is a city whose development was slowed, but this has escalated very likely to resemble our future more or less everywhere else. The exhibition Summer is ending. It has never been this radiant in Naples before. Light has had, still has, a fairy tale transparency. Could it be because of all the medias spotlights aimed at the city for months and months? In a summer outside of time, far away from everything, blessed, without tourists, without jellyfish, we are alone with the town: a perverse luxury. With Naples’ image ransacked the target has been hit and what was called the “legal” economy devastated. But what is left, what has managed to survive prosperously is doing just fine and will continue to grow... In times of Fall and Fight, title of the last exhibition, the statement was that the besieged city wasn’t fighting back nor trying to win over the medias nor attempting anything to save itself. This fall may look like oblivion when all the spotlights will be turned off. It’s a damnation and a condemnation of Naples by Europe, forcing the city to remain an outlaw, to continue doing the dirty work so that others can sleep peacefully elsewhere. One can also consider this as a kind of avant-garde. Naples, the city with a slowed down evolution, with a very poisoned present may well become an image of our future everywhere else.
The 10th exhibition of Kaplan’s project, “Fall of Fight”, still current, will stay in place for another season for the same artists. Three Nights of Showings Will Be Organized on the 23, 24 and 25 of next month for 26 of the artists who Were the subject of a film. The goal is to show how imagination, The Most luminous part of a human being, as can be on show Against the screen of an ever-somber context. The summer is ending. Summer that rarely, in Naples, was so bright, with a light, perhaps because of all the lights of the media focused on the city for months, still, a transparent unreal. One summer out of time, away from it all, blessed by the gods, no tourists or jellyfish. With the city all to ourselves. A very nasty form of luxury. The image of Naples is devastated, it has reached the purpose, and the economy "legal" destroyed. For the rest, for what is not legal, it's all right. Indeed, it will be even better.
In times of struggle and fall, under the previous exposure, it seems that the besieged city did not struggle or try to manipulate the media to defend himself, let him run, doing little or nothing to recover. And this fall, which could go to oblivion once the lights turned off, it seems a damn, a conviction - this time from Europe - to remain outside the law and to continue to do the dirty work so they can sleep anywhere else quiet.
We also believe that it is a form of avant-garde, and therefore Naples is a city slow evolution, but at the present time very "poisoned" has strong ability to anticipate our future, more or less everywhere.
falling or Fight, No exposure still present 10 of Kaplan's Project, will remain on display for another season. Artists - the 26 who eventually shot or have been subject of films - will be reunited for three nights of screenings to be held on 23, 24, 25 September. For this project, in an increasingly dark, the brightest part of the human and his imagination.
